How current TopScience articles are prepared, checked and corrected.
Current article practice
In the current publishing workflow, articles are drafted by TopScience using AI from captured source material. Before publication, each candidate receives a separate AI assessment and automated checks of evidence, topic, language, rights, safety, duplication and publication details. A candidate is published only when the required checks pass.
These assessments and checks are automated. They are not individual human review or approval of each article, and they can miss errors. Article pages show their sources and credits, relevant limitations and uncertainties, and any recorded source updates or correction notices.
Use the Report an error in this story link on an article page to flag a problem. Recorded material corrections are listed in the corrections archive. If an AI-generated illustration appears, it is labelled as such and should be understood as conceptual, not as study data.

This description records current practice; it is not itself a formally adopted policy.
Formally adopted policy versions appear below only after an active human editor records their adoption and effective date.
No policies have been adopted for publication.
Policy drafts remain inactive until an authorized editor adopts a version.
